Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Indian Photographer Database ("IPD", "we", "us", or "our") and indianphotographerdatabase.in. By accessing or using IPD, creating an account, publishing a profile, joining the Crew Network, submitting content, or using an IPD workflow, you agree to these Terms.

1. Platform role

IPD provides photographer discovery and comparison, public photographer/business profiles, enquiries, professional Studio Tools, client-delivery workflows, verification signals, and a private B2B Crew Network. Unless a specific feature expressly states otherwise, IPD is not the employer, agent, partner, insurer, or photography service provider of a listed photographer or crew member and is not a party to the service agreement between users.

2. Account types

Client accounts are intended for people looking for photographers. Photographer/business accounts may create public directory profiles and use professional workspace features. Freelance crew accounts participate in the private Crew Network and do not automatically receive a public photographer-directory listing. You must choose and use the account type that accurately represents your role.

You are responsible for accurate account information, safeguarding credentials, and keeping relevant details reasonably current. You must not impersonate another person or business or access another account without permission.

3. Photographer profiles and public listings

Photographers are responsible for information they submit, including business identity, base location, service areas, portfolio, services, experience, availability, pricing indications, and contact details. IPD may review, moderate, correct, restrict, suspend, or remove profiles when reasonably necessary for platform integrity, legal compliance, policy enforcement, or user safety.

4. IPD Verification and verified location

An IPD Verified badge means the profile completed the applicable manual IPD review process. Verification is not a paid placement and is not a guarantee of future performance, identity in every context, availability, pricing, delivery, safety, or booking outcome.

After verification, specified trust-sensitive fields such as the reviewed base location may be protected from direct self-service editing. A photographer who needs to change a protected location may submit a change request. The existing verified location remains active until IPD approves the replacement. IPD may request clarification, reject a request, suspend verification, or correct records where reasonably required for trust and platform integrity.

5. IPD Crew Network

The Crew Network is a professional B2B feature for eligible photographers, studios, and freelance crew. Crew members are responsible for accurately describing roles, experience, equipment, travel preferences, rates, availability, work links, and other professional information. Rates are indicative unless separately agreed between the parties.

A Crew Job, application, shortlist, or accepted application does not create employment by IPD and does not guarantee attendance, suitability, payment, work quality, equipment condition, licensing, insurance, travel arrangements, or completion. The studio/photographer and crew member are responsible for agreeing directly on scope, rates, timings, travel, kit, payment, conduct, permissions, and any contract or tax obligations.

Crew contact details may be withheld during discovery and released through the platform after an application is accepted. Users must not scrape, harvest, republish, or misuse Crew Network information.

6. Admin-added and claimed Crew Profiles

IPD administrators may prepare Crew Profiles for invitation or onboarding where consent has been confirmed or the record remains non-searchable until consent. An eligible freelancer may claim an invited profile and become responsible for maintaining it. IPD may archive unclaimed, inaccurate, duplicate, or withdrawn profiles.

7. Prices, quotations, and payments

Public profile prices, Crew rates, and planning estimates are indicative unless an event-specific agreement states otherwise. Requirements vary by date, functions, hours, crew size, travel, accommodation, equipment, albums, films, revisions, and other deliverables. Users should obtain and review written terms before paying or committing to a service.

Unless a feature expressly states otherwise, payments for photography, crew, albums or other user-to-user services are arranged directly between the relevant users. Each party is responsible for invoices, tax treatment, refunds, cancellation terms, licences, insurance, permits, and other requirements applicable to that transaction.

IPD may separately charge one-time fees for its own digital workflow products, including Client Gallery, client selection and FaceFind event plans. The applicable plan, price, photo limit, feature set and validity are shown before purchase. Paid event plans do not auto-renew unless a future product expressly says otherwise. Eligible paid-to-paid upgrades may receive credit for the price already paid for the current event plan; a free event has no cash value.

A client using an eligible private gallery link may also purchase a fixed-term Client Gallery extension directly from IPD. Available terms may include 30 days, one year or three years, with three years being the maximum term in a single purchase. This is not a lifetime-storage promise. A future extension, if offered, is a new purchase at the price and terms shown at that future checkout.

Payment activation may depend on successful verification by IPD and its payment processor. Cancellation and refund treatment for fees paid directly to IPD is described in our Cancellation & Refund Policy, and digital activation is described in our Digital Delivery Policy.

8. Enquiries, leads, and booking requests

IPD may facilitate communication between clients and photographers or between studios and crew. An enquiry, matched lead, booking request, quote, Crew Job, or application does not guarantee acceptance, availability, a particular price, or a successful transaction.

9. Client Galleries, album selection, and FaceFind

Eligible photographer and crew accounts may use private Client Galleries and related selection tools to deliver event photographs and receive favourites or album selections. Where FaceFind is enabled, the feature attempts to find visually similar photographs within the relevant private gallery. Matching may be incomplete or incorrect and is provided as a convenience, not as identity verification.

Event plans may have photo limits, validity periods and feature-specific expiry. A one-lifetime free event, where offered, belongs to the account that claims it and is not restored by deleting the event. Paid access is per event unless the checkout expressly states otherwise.

A client-paid Gallery extension extends ordinary Client Gallery access only. It does not extend or restart FaceFind or other AI validity, and it does not automatically extend an album-selection window. A photographer may reopen an eligible album-selection window for a specified period. While a verified client-paid Gallery term remains active, the photographer cannot shorten that paid term or delete the protected event through normal self-service controls; IPD may still act where reasonably required for security, legal compliance, abuse prevention, refunds, data-integrity incidents or service administration.

Photographers are responsible for having appropriate rights and permissions for uploaded event content and for using gallery, sharing, and FaceFind features consistently with their client arrangements and applicable obligations. Users must not share private gallery codes or capability links irresponsibly.

10. Reviews, awards, ratings, and discovery signals

Reviews should reflect genuine experience or a legitimate basis for comment. IPD may moderate or remove fraudulent, abusive, unlawful, duplicative, irrelevant, or manipulated content. Ratings, awards, curated placement, verification, and other discovery signals support comparison but do not replace a user's independent evaluation of current work and written service terms.

11. User content and rights

You remain responsible for content you submit. By uploading content for platform use or publication, you represent that you have the rights and permissions needed and allow IPD to host, display, resize, process, and distribute it as reasonably necessary to provide the relevant feature, profile, gallery, article, or workflow. You must not submit content that violates intellectual-property, privacy, publicity, contractual, or other rights.

12. Prohibited use

You may not use IPD to:

  • violate applicable law or another person's rights;
  • scrape, harvest, sell, or misuse personal or Crew Network contact information;
  • bypass authentication, private links, security controls, administrative review, or rate limits;
  • create deceptive profiles, fraudulent reviews, false verification information, fake Crew applications, or misleading identities;
  • upload malware or interfere with the integrity or availability of the service;
  • use platform content in a way that falsely implies IPD endorsement, employment, or guarantee.

13. Service availability and changes

We may add, change, suspend, redirect, or retire features, categories, pages, eligibility criteria, retention periods, or account functionality. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, permanent retention of any feature or file, a particular ranking, or search-engine indexing.

14. Disclaimers and responsibility

Users should independently evaluate photographers, crew, portfolios, references, equipment, pricing, availability, contracts, permissions, and deliverables. To the extent permitted by applicable law, IPD is not responsible for a photographer's or crew member's acts or omissions, missed assignments, service quality, equipment failures, payment disputes, delays, cancellations, losses, copyright disputes, or other issues arising from agreements between users.

15. Suspension and termination

We may restrict, suspend, or terminate access, remove content, disable a listing or Crew Profile, or suspend a trust signal where reasonably necessary for security, legal compliance, suspected fraud, abuse, or platform integrity. Users may contact us about account closure or data requests as described in the Privacy Policy.

16. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India, subject to applicable mandatory rights and jurisdiction rules.

17. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms as the platform evolves. Continued use after an updated version becomes effective constitutes acceptance to the extent permitted by law.
